HSE – Health, Safety and Environment
The effort to focus on Health, Safety and Environment has been given highest priority at CCB.
The HSE targets are:
- No personnel injuries
- No work related illness
- No pollution
- No material damages
- No fires
The targets shall be achieved through a systematic follow-up of rules and regulations in accordance with the authorities’ demands, including education, guidance, inspection and control.
Organisation
The HSE function at CCB is organised with a HSE-manager and Security Manager.
Their obligation is to advise and assist the CCB organisation and the lessees at the base within Health, Environment, Safety and Security matters.
The Security Manager is also the Port Facility Security Officer (PFSO), Manager for the civil defence unit (emergency preparedness for own protection) and Safety Manager in respect of occupational safety.
CCBs civil defence group comprises 40 members operating:
- A fire brigade
- A first aid and rescue unit
- A civil defence group
- A pollution defence group
Security and Safety
CCBs security concept comprises physical barriers against crime. The HSE unit is responsible for the security- and safety arrangement at the base.
The Security arrangement is conducted by a licensed security service company.
The services comprise:
- Gate control 24/7
- Patrolling guards outside ordinary working hours
- Manned switch-board 24 hours a day
The HSE unit issues entrance- and parking permits to visitors to the base. They also administer the locking system for the facilities at the base.
ISPS and Port Security
CCB is an ISPS port with port identification no 25871.
Environmental management System
CCBs documented environmental management system has been approved by DNV in accordance with ISO 14001:2004.
